Built for apps that sell, stock, or serve food

The value isn't access to government data — it's one predictable schema across messy sources.

🥜 Allergen detection

Milk, egg, peanut, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish and sesame parsed from each recall reason. Filter with ?allergen=peanut.

🗺️ State-level filtering

Free-text distribution patterns turned into 2-letter state codes plus NATIONWIDE. Ask “what's recalled in Ohio?”

🔁 Change feed

/recalls/changes?since= returns new and updated recalls with field-level before/after values. Sync incrementally.

🏛️ Official sources only

FDA openFDA enforcement reports and USDA FSIS recall notices. Every record carries its source_url.

🔎 Search that works

Filter by brand/firm, category, Class I/II/III, status, date range or keyword. Simple offset pagination.
